What Is in the Gallery
Two kinds of skin sit side by side. Ones that servers reported seeing on real players, and ones members uploaded on purpose. Both are searchable and both can be downloaded.
Daily Skin Picks on the home page is a handful of the first kind, chosen fresh each day. It is a good place to start if you do not know what you are looking for.
Searching
The search box on the Skins page takes a player name or a keyword, and it looks through both at once.
Keywords work better than you would expect for uploads, because whoever uploaded a skin had to describe it. Searching for what a skin looks like tends to beat searching for what somebody might have named it.
Searching a gamertag here finds the skin that player is wearing. If you want the player rather than the skin, the search on the home page is the one you want.
Downloading One
- Step 1. Open the skin you want
- Step 2. Press Download skin
- Step 3. Keep the PNG file somewhere you can find it again
What you get is the skin file itself, at the size Minecraft expects. There is nothing to unpack and nothing to install.
Putting It On in Minecraft
This part happens in the game rather than here. Open Minecraft, go to the dressing room from the main menu, choose an empty character slot and import the file you downloaded.
Which model to pick matters. A skin drawn for the slim arms model looks wrong on the wide one and the other way round, and the skin page here lists which model it is under Details.
We cannot change the skin you wear from this site, and no site can. Nothing here is connected to your Microsoft account, so importing the file yourself is the only route.
Using Somebody Else's Skin
A skin found on a player is there because a server saw them wearing it, the same way everybody in that game saw it. Wearing one you liked is ordinary and nobody is being taken from.
Republishing one as your own upload is a different thing, and that is the sort of upload we take down.
