Delisted, Not Deleted
A removed upload leaves the gallery and stops appearing in searches, and it stays on your own list of uploads. You can still see it, and you can still delete it yourself if you want it gone entirely.
That is deliberate. Taking something out of public view is a decision worth being able to explain, and quietly deleting somebody's file leaves nothing to talk about.
The Usual Reason
Somebody else's work published as your own. Uploads appear under your name and anybody can download them, so publishing a skin you found somewhere is presenting another person's work as yours.
Wearing a skin you liked is ordinary and nobody minds. Republishing it as an upload is the part that is different.
The Other Reasons
- Content with no business on a site this many children use
- A title or keywords that have nothing to do with the skin, to catch searches
- Keywords stuffed with unrelated popular terms
- Impersonating somebody, whether a person or a server
Things That Are Not Removals
An upload refused at the moment you tried is a different thing. The same file twice under one account is rejected, and so is anything over the size limit or outside the accepted formats, and none of that is a moderation decision.
Uploading a Skin has the limits, and a refusal there says what was wrong at the time.
Getting It Back
Contact us from the account that uploaded it and we will tell you which of these it was. If it came down over authorship and it genuinely is your work, say so, because that is a thing we can be wrong about and would rather fix.
What It Does Not Affect
Your account, your other uploads, and anything else you own here. One upload coming down is one upload, and it is not a mark against you.
A skin you deleted yourself is gone for good. That one has no appeal because there is nothing left to restore.
