What Actually Refreshes It
One thing, and it is not on this site. A server running our ingest API has to see you again, and when it does your name and skin are replaced with whatever it reported.
Most servers do not report to us, so playing on one of those changes nothing here however long you spend on it.
Searching Yourself Will Not Do It
Searching your own gamertag runs a live lookup, but that lookup only fills gaps. It can build a profile that does not exist yet, and it can fetch a skin for a profile that has never had one, and it will not overwrite anything already recorded.
So a search is worth trying once if you are missing from the site altogether. It is not a refresh button for a profile that is already here.
Why There Is No Refresh Button
We cannot ask Microsoft what your skin is today. Nothing here is connected to your Microsoft account, so the only thing we can publish is what something has already shown us.
If nothing has shown us anything since your last change, the old entry stands. It is not stuck and it is not cached, there is simply nothing newer to put in its place.
Your old gamertags stay in your name history on purpose. A previous name listed under the current one is the record working rather than a stale entry.
