What the Page Shows
A player profile is a record of what servers have seen, and nothing else. It is not an account, it is not written by the player, and it exists whether or not that person has ever been here.
- The skin they were last seen wearing
- Every name we have recorded for them, with the current one marked
- Every skin we have recorded, and roughly when each was worn
- When we first saw them and when we last saw them
Name History
Bedrock names are Xbox gamertags, so a name history is a record of renames. The profile stays the same page across all of them, which is why an old name showing under a new one is the record working rather than something stale.
It only goes back as far as we do. A name somebody used before anything reported them to us is not something we can know about.
Skin History
Each skin carries the window we saw it being worn in. Gaps are normal, because we only know about the moments something reported, and a skin worn for a month between two sightings looks the same to us as one worn for a day.
The Confidence Labels
Each name and skin is marked with how well supported it is, because a fact one server mentioned once is not the same as one several servers agree on.
- Reported means one source told us
- Corroborated means two or more separate server owners reported the same thing independently
- Verified is reserved for cryptographic proof, which is not built yet and so does not appear
Reported is not a warning. Most facts here are reported, because most players are seen by one server, and it simply means nothing has independently agreed with it.
First Seen and Last Seen
These are about us rather than about the player. Last seen is the last time something showed us that gamertag, not the last time they played, and the two dates being identical is the normal case rather than a fault.
What Last Seen Means goes into that properly, because it is the single most misread thing on the page.
What Is Not There
No email address, no location, no age, no messages, and no way to contact anybody through this site. Everything on a profile is what any player in the same game already sees.
