Listing a Server

Before You Start

Listing is free and takes a few minutes. There is one thing to sort out first, which is that your account needs two-factor sign-in turned on before the form will accept anything.

That is not there to be awkward. A listing can be transferred to another account, which makes it worth stealing, so an account holding one has to be hard to take over. Turning On Two-Factor covers the setup.

What You Will Need

Have these to hand before you start. The form walks through them in five steps and each one is short, but it is smoother if you are not hunting for an address halfway through.

  • The address players connect to, without the port on the end
  • The port, which is 19132 unless you changed it
  • A one line tagline and a longer description
  • One to five gamemode tags and at least one region
  • An icon and a thumbnail image, and a banner if you have one

Filling It In

  • Step 1. Sign in and open the Servers page, then press Submit Your Server
  • Step 2. Connection, which is the name, the address and the port
  • Step 3. The pitch, meaning the one line for the list and the full description for your page
  • Step 4. Branding, which is the square icon, the list thumbnail and an optional banner
  • Step 5. Gamemodes and regions
  • Step 6. Links and review, where optional links go and you get a last look before submitting

The name is 3 to 60 characters, the tagline 10 to 120, and the description at least 30 so there is something for a player to actually read. Website and Discord links are optional.

Images are uploaded rather than linked from somewhere else. A hotlinked image breaks the day the other site moves it, and it hands every visitor's address to a server we do not control.

What Happens Next

It goes live straight away. There is no queue and nothing to wait for, and the listing gets its own page with an address, a live status and a place in the rankings.

The status comes from pinging your address rather than from anything you told us, so it is worth checking the address before you submit. A listing that shows offline on day one is usually a typo, or a port left at the default when it should not have been.

Two Things Only We Can Set

The verified mark is applied by hand and cannot be asked for through the form. Featured placement works the same way.

Everything else is yours to change whenever you like, from the listing's own settings.

One listing per server or network. The same address twice is refused outright, and running several listings for one network is the fastest way to lose all of them.
